A friend of mine had been raving about these boys for so long, I finally caved and went along with her to see them (using the incentive of a road trip to Glouchester, yes you heard right Glouchester)… a minute into the first song I was convinced.. by the time they played their new song Ayla I was hooked!!

If I added it up, I would say I have wasted at least 5.27 hours of my life waiting for my trains to arrive/depart from Euston station… somehow, if something like this was going on while I waited, I wouldn’t give a damn if the train ever showed up…

My mouth was flawed by the amazing performances of the entire cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, naturally we were lured there because of James Earl Jones (who doesn’t want to see the voice of Darth Vadar thrusting his hips and talking about what he would do to the ladies now he has a new lease on life, I mean the man is all class really ; P) but in the end we left in absolute awe of Adrian Lester and Sanaa Lathan (who played the tumultuous young married couple Brick and Maggie)… where else can you see something like this?!?! have I told you lately, I love this town!!!

I love Musicals!! So naturally I think the receipe for a good show is singing, but a receipe for a great show is singing Journey… I promised myself that I wouldn’t get into any more TV, I mean there is a whole world out there and I don’t want to miss any of it, but how can I resist… they’re singing Journey!! Oh and Cory is soooo cute.

Can’t wait to see what else they come up with… Congratulations on the Golden Globe win.

Vampires are just so hot right now, Vampires!!

I spent my teenage years obsessed with Buffy and Angel, the love story, the supernatural creatures, the witty dialogue and not to mention the fashion (loved her boots), however, when Buffy retired her pointy stick and moved on from Angel, I moved on too, Vampires were dead!!… but, in typical Hollywood style (no new ideas, let’s re-envision another) the genre has been given new life and a new breed of Vampires have been born.

I’m a fan of the Twilight books (not Breaking Dawn, more like Making me Yawn) but not too fussed on the movies, I’ve only ever watched half an episode of True Blood (didn’t really suck me in), and despite my flatmate V’s attempts to lure me into it, I have never watched an episode of The Vampire Diaries, but after Monday night I am convinced it might be a show I could sink my teeth into… I’ve been dazzled by one of the soulless blood suckers and his name is Paul Wesley.

Paul tried to sneak in the civilian entrance at the premiere of Sherlock Holmes, but thanks to my flatmates eagle eye (and the fact she has actually watched the show) she spotted him… his obviously more famous and therefore recognisable co-star Ian Somerhalder had already made his way down the red carpet (aka the celebrity entrance) just 10 mins before.

Oh and Robert Downey Jnr, Guy Ritchie and Jude Law were there too.

He is so Worthy…

In 2000 an Aussie movie by the name of “Bootmen” hit our local screens, everyone was talking about how hot Adam Garcia was and how he was going places, I mean Coyote Ugly was just around the corner, and not long after his stint in the bar he was Riding in Cars with Drew Barrymore… nobody (by this I mean the Sheila’s, Chicks of Ozland) really ever paid much attention to the strawberry blonde who played his brother… the now “s”amazing Sam Worthington. (that one was for you V)

A year or two after the movie came out, I was on a domestic flight between Brisbane and Sydney, and sitting next to me wearing Trackie Daks (tracksuit pants) and donning a stuble that resembled a used piece of sandpaper, was someone who I swore was the spitting image of “that other one from that movie with Adam”… it was uncanny!!… naturally, I didn’t speak up and try to engage him in a conversation (a habit that has stayed with me since, in both celeb and civilian encounters).

So here I am in 2009 with the poster I snagged at the Avatar premiere, looking into his baby blues, daydreaming of what could have been and wondering… what would our Ginger children look like? Yes!! they would be Ginger… Two Freckles don’t make a White afterall.

Sadly it was him who snobbed me this time, by not noticing me in the audience of hundreds… Sigh!!
