Here’s Johnny…
When I was 11 years old I made a bet with The Aunty about Johnny Depp… My wall was plastered with posters I had cut out of magazines, every week I would tune into to catch up on his adventures on 21 Jump Street, and I harboured a deep dislike for his then fiancee Winona Ryder (a dislike that still lingers today, even if its more for her rubbish acting then her involvement with him). My Aunty stated that my “crush” wouldn’t last out the year, I said “wanna bet”
So here it is “ahem” several years later and much like Johnny’s looks, my feelings haven’t changed (seriously does this guy age, Dorian Grey and an ugly painting in an attic comes to mind). So last Monday when I was reading my morning Metro and I saw the premier of Public Enemies was on that very night in Leicester Square and that the man himself was guaranteed to be there, well I had no choice did I?! I called up Bells, took an early mark off work and we headed down to the Square for a chance of a lifetime meeting…
This guy is amazing, not only did he do 30 mins of press questions and photo ops, he took another 30-40 mins to walk all the way along the carpet signing as many autographs as possible… ours included. I wish I could say we shared a moment, a witty back and forth conversation or that he even acknowledged my single existence in the crowd of hundreds, but I did manage to brush his sleeve, take some great close up pictures and most importantly (Bells and Mel you can attest to this as I’ve done it before) I didn’t make a complete douche of myself by talking about the weather.
Also in attendance was Jamie Campbell Bower, a little unknown to you now maybe, but soon a name you may not forget, well maybe not forget but you’ll at least be like “aww wait wasn’t he the one in that film …?”, but for now I’ll let you in on a little bit about him, he was in Sweeny Todd with Depp (hence why he was invited), will appear in New Moon/Breaking Dawn as Caius (a Volturi Vampire) and as Bells and I just found out, will play Grindelwald (friend and foe of Dumbledores) in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows… how exciting!!
Augh! So jealous! There is a God and his name is Johnny
But I’m the one who talks about the weather (hanging head in shame), you tell celebs they look tired, lol! We are terrible 
But it runs in the family cause my sister embarrassed herself when she met Hamish Blake. So it’s not just us!
OH my God Tanya, I am so jealous..My crush on him extends all the way to 21 Jump street as well and Nightmare on Elm street and of course all his movies…especially Chocolat..he is a great actor, knows how play diverse characters…sensational method actor too…
