Roma o busti e statue

I had a few plans when I moved to the UK, Work and Travel!! Naturally, the recession has put a little damper on those plans, so instead its been just work with the occasional day out sight seeing in London.

So how excited am I that I can say on the weekend I was taking down with a bug.. the travel bug! and it all started in the beautiful city of Rome.  It wouldn’t have been my first choice of European cities to venture to for my first time, but it was my Bros bday and since he was born in Italy we thought it would be fitting to visit the scene of the crime =D

We managed to squeeze in 1 weeks worth of sight seeing in 2 days, choosing the most obvious attractions such as The Colosseum, The Forum, The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Vatican City… My favourite being the Basilica Nova (pictured below, that’s me in white and blue all the way at the bottom of the picture, how huge is that thing?!).

Now that I have been, I am more motivated than ever to keep going, all I have to do is find a job that not only pays enough to keep me living in London (and doing what I love to do, Gigs and Bars) but it also has to be enough to keep me on the Trains, Planes and Automobiles as I continue on my National Lampoons European Vacation…

Arrivederci!!

  1. Wow….yes you have to see the rest of Europe and unlike here in Australia where we are so isolated and far away from everything, you can hop on a train and be in a different country within hours…you are so lucky girl…make the most of it…If I lived in Europe, I’d be going everyhwre, bus, train, you name it…you can’t do that here in Aus…you are so lucky…see ya next year…I am going to Italy for 2 weeks and France for 2 weeks and more…so can’t wait
